L'or d'autre (40 x 30cm)

Veronique Sabban was born in Nice, Frace on November 13, 1967. She obtained a Master's degree in Plastic, Visual and Spatial Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels with great distinction in 1990. Sabban won a scholarship to the Museum of Tapestries and Fabric Arts in Tournai, in 1991.

Her artistic approach is essentially human-oriented. The human face has always been present in each of Sabban's works from 1988 on, whether in painting with acrylics on canvas, Indian inks or monotypes on paper. Or, further, in sculptures with the clay that she kneads in a very expressionist manner.

Landscapes began appearing around 2012, whether seascapes reflecting the North Sea of the country where Sabban now lives, or the umbrella pines of her childhood spent in the south of France.

She has participated in numerous personal and group exhibitions and has won a number of awards since 1988.

Sabban's Achievements in the public domain include the following: creation of a painting for the launch of the Opel Corsa2000; participation in the “Belgium Horse Parade”; development of wine labels (Bordeaux & Côtes du Rhône); designing patterns for scarves, live painting on a wall in the railway station of La Chapelle; creation of the deluxe limited edition “box set” for Le Robert French dictionary.
