Mission Statement:


Artists Talk On Art fosters cross-disciplinary dialogue that challenges norms, amplifies diverse voices, and rethinks how art engages with the world.

 

History:


History Founded in 1974, ATOA is one of NYC's longest-running art panel series, having presented over 9,000 artists, critics, curators, and historians to hundreds of thousands of audience members over 50 years. Notable speakers include Louise Bourgeois, Chuck Close, Christo & Jeanne-Claude, Jenny Holzer, Robert Mapplethorpe, Faith Ringgold, and Kehinde Wiley. The series' archive of 1,100+ recordings is housed at the Smithsonian's Archives of American Art.
